Danko Djunić moderator of the 2nd Pannel of the Farmacy and Health
Care Economist Conference
The Economist Conference dealing with the topic of Pharmacy and
Health Care – Trends and Outlooks, with Hemofarm as one of
the sponsors, ended at the Hotel Hyatt yesterday. The conference
comprised of three panel sessions: Pharmacy Regulations –
Local Regulations and European Standard; Pharmacy and Business;
and Trends and Standards in Pharmaceutical Industry.
Danko Đunić, Partner and Co-Chairman of EKI Investment, was one
of the speakers on the second pannel session which addressed the
Pharmacy and Business.
Dragomir Marisavljević, Vice-President of Hemofarm and Chairman
of the Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Group Council, was one of the
speakers on the first panel session, on which the following topics
were discussed: federal strategy for the development of the domestic
pharmaceutical industry; regulation application to existing products,
comparison of local and foreign pharmaceutical regulations, and
the financing of pharmaceutical health protection. On this occasion,
he appealed for the elimination of drug price disparities and pointed
out the need for passing new laws and enactments, sanctioning and
strict compliance with all Drug Law regulations, amendments and
addenda to the Drug Law in accordance with EU directives, credit
and other actions for exports incentives and sanctioning unfair
competition. Discussing and answering questions on consulting and
management in the pharmaceutical industry, regional experiences,
market regulations, how much the pharmaceutical industry is the
„target“ for foreign investors on the second panel session,
Miodrag Babić, the President of Hemofarm, pointed out that Hemofarm
has invested both in Serbia and in the region, and it has constructed
a factory in Banja Luka which in terms of technology can be considered
one of the best plants within the Hemofarm Group.
